一次贵州暴雨过程的湿位涡诊断分析

Diagnostic analysis of moist potential vorticity for a heavy rain in Guizhou

  • 摘要: 应用湿位涡理论,对2012年6月25日贵州省发生的一次暴雨过程进行诊断分析,讨论了湿位涡与此次暴雨过程的关系,结果表明:在此次暴雨过程中,湿空气对流活动层一般仅能达到500hPa至600hPa高度,高空大值湿位涡下传,使高空干冷空气入侵低层,即造成动力对流层顶折叠现象,是产生强对流天气的主要原因.湿位涡的正压项是主要的,它反映了强对流天气过程位势不稳定能量的释放过程,而斜压项高绝对值区与暴雨落区吻合很好,对暴雨的强度和落区预报有一定的指示作用.

     

    Abstract: By using the concept of moist potential vorticity,the article analyze a heavy rain in Guizhou on June 25th,2012,and discuss the relation ship between the heavy rain to the moist potential vorticity.The results show that the top of moist convection air can only attain between 600hPa and 500hPa levels,in the heavy rain.The tropopause folding,which means that high MPV spreads downward from the upper troposphere or stratosphere,is the main reason that cause the development of severe convectively weather.The MPV barotropic part is important,it reflect the releasing process of potential instability energy of severe convectively weather.The heavy rain region corresponds to the high MPV baroclinic part,and supplies an important reference for forecasting the intensity and the region of the heavy rain.
