Abstract:
The available food in the habitats played an important role for the wintering Black-necked Crane.The amount,composition and availability of the food storage in the reserve were studied based on the field data collected in February,2009.The results indicated that the main available food for the Black-necked Crane was vegetative,65.8% of the total food storage;the richness of the food storage in different habitats was ranked as marshlandcultivated fieldgrasslandswamp meadowwasteland;the marshland and cultivated fields,which were more soft than the wastelands and swamp meadows,were more popular because of the higher usability of food storage.Due to the cultivated field was the main food source for the wintering Black-necked cranes,it was necessary to support and make compensation to the farmers.
